Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is here!!! Probably not really the best timing to release a movie with Transformers 2 being released around the same time. But none the less, Ice Age 3 has been able to draw in crowds of people as well. I went to watch it just the other day and the cinema was rather pack as well. All and all, the movie is really nice and funny. =) Recommanded if you are looking for a good laugh.
Short Synopsis
As usual, the movie start of with Scrat, the squirrel, still trying to nab the ever elusivenut. Though, this time around he is in for a bigger surprise. Manny and Ellie on the other hand are about to have a baby. This makes Sid, the sloth, feel left out of the "family", while Diego, the sabre-tooth tiger, starts to think that maybe he has grown to soft. Sid eventually discovers three dinosaur eggs and decides to make them part of his own make-shift family. Momma dinosaur on the other hand, becomes furious when she discovers that her eggs are missing from her nest. She goes looking for them and when she finds Sid having them, she takes her kids as well as Sid underground to the world of Dinosaurs.
Thus, Manny, Ellie, Diego and Ellie's brothers Crash and Eddie go on a mission to rescue Sid. There they will come face to face with dinosaurs, carnivorous plants, and a one eyed, dino-hunting, crazy talking weasel named Buck.
My feedback about the movie
Well, I would say that all in all, the movie was pretty good. It was filled with fun and laughter all throughout the movie. On top of that, I would say the directors did a good job in captivating the audience with different kinds of humor and diversions in the main story line from time to time (Scrat and the nut). Though the plot does lack that certain hype that we got from the first 2 Ice Age movies. But overall, on a scale of 1 to 5, I would give Ice Age 3 a solid 4 stars. A must watch, not only for the kids but for adults as well. =)
